  Walter E. Boyer LEBANON Walter E. Boyer, 84, died Friday, October 9, 2009, in 
  Manor Care Health Services, Lebanon. He was the husband of Jane C. Boyer. He 
  was born in Lebanon, on February 15, 1925, son of the late Walter H. and Lulu 
  Werner Boyer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII with the 
  Company B 163rd Engineer Combat Battalion. Mr. Boyer was a member of St. John's 
  U.M.C., Pleasant Hill, and retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center with 32 
  years of service. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Penn State football fan. 
  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Walter H. Boyer and 
  wife, Joyce of Elizabethtown, Linda J., wife of Donald Tappan of Camp Hill, and 
  Dennis Boyer and wife, Michelle of Camp Hill; grandchildren, Jason Boyer and 
  wife, Jenny, Erin Nicole, wife of Brian Swatski, Rachel Boyer, Riley Boyer, 
  Sherri Hickernell, Kristy A. Hickernell, and Jeremy Tappan; great-grandson, 
  Jack Swatski; and sister, Virginia Behney. He was preceded in death by his 
  brother, William H. Boyer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:30 
  p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where a viewing 
  will begin at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be made 
  in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, 
  contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of Central PA, 3001 Old 
  Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
