M. shabodeho@aol.com November 30, 2009, 9:20 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 11/22/2009 Bretz, Diane Eckert Diane Eckert Bretz LEBANON Diane Eckert "DeeDee" Bretz, 44, of 165 Norway Lane, died Friday, November 20, 2009, in the Hospice of Lancaster County. She was the wife of Jack A. Bretz, with whom she would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in February 2010. Born in Hershey, on February 3, 1965, she was the daughter of David G. and Darlene Miles Eckert of Mt. Gretna. She worked as an office manager for the Lebanon County Builder's Association and was also a Licensed Realtor with Brownstone Real Estate. DeeDee was a 1983 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. She was a member of Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher; was Past President of the Cornwall Elementary Parent Teacher Organization; and formerly served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for Den #415, Cornwall. Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Cole David Bretz at home; a daughter, Callahan Elizabeth Bretz at home; a brother, Bret, husband of Susan Sidler, and their son, Eli of Cornwall; and two sisters, Kim, wife of John Kugle, and their son, Nate of Palmyra, and Shelly, wife of James Lingle, and their sons, James and Alex of Cleona. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Sunday November 29, 2009, at the The Timbers Restaurant, 350 Timber Road, Mt. Gretna, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Cornwall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bretz Family Fund, c/o Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003.
