  Gladys E. Brossman REHRERSBURG Gladys Emmaline Brossman, 78, died Friday, 
  September 18, 2009, of natural causes at her residence. Her husband, Schuyler 
  C. Brossman, died May 16, 1998. Born in Walnuttown, Berks County, on May 13, 
  1931, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Gertrude (Snyder) Miller. 
  She was employed by the United States Postal Service, serving as a Postal Clerk 
  at the Rehrersburg Post Office. Mrs. Brossman was a member of Altalaha Lutheran 
  Church, Rehrersburg. A former Blue Bird Leader with the Camp Fire Girls, and a 
  member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Keystone Fire Company, Rehrersburg, she 
  also enjoyed cooking and baking, quilting, and grew beautiful flowers in the 
  warm weather. She was well known throughout the area for her unique 
  cottonwrapped Christmas trees, a tradition she kept going for many years. 
  Gladys was also an avid collector of teddy bears. She is survived by two 
  daughters, Mary Ann Brossman of Rehrersburg, and Diane L., wife of Linn Bell of 
  Harrisburg; a son, Mark A. Brossman of Rehrersburg and his companion, Janet 
  Vonada; a sister, Jean Deysher of Blandon; and two grandchildren, Rachel 
  Emmaline and Adam N. Bell of Harrisburg. She was predeceased by a brother, John 
  S. Miller; and a half brother, Robert O. Rauenzahn. Friends are invited to the 
  viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, at Hill Funeral Home, 
  Rehrersburg. The funeral service will immediately follow in Altalaha Lutheran 
  Church, Rehrersburg. Interment will be at Altalaha Church Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flower, memorial contributions may be made to Altalaha Lutheran Church, P.O. 
  Box 82, Rehrersburg, PA 19550.
