Amos C. Brownsberger, 81, Mohnton, formerly of Rexmont died Sunday, January 25, 2009, in ManorCare, West Reading. He was the husband of the late Elaine Boyer Brownsberger. He was born in Lancaster on July 22, 1927, a son of the late Jonathan K. and Clara Sipling Brownsberger. He was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Company with 30 years of service, having worked in the Cornwall Ore Mines, and later at Millard's Quarry. He served in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are children Debra F., wife of James B. Leininger of Ontario Calif., Bonita E. Marquette and companion Ira Kleinsmith of Mohnton, Brian L. and wife Deborah Brownsberger of Saxton, Pa., Dennis S. Brownsberger of Shillington, Cookie Bonsall of Mt. Joy; 15 grandchildren; one greatgrandson; brother Paul Brownsberger; sisters Thelma Miller, Hazel Loser. He was preceded in death by brother John Brownsberger; sisters Mary Weik, Martha Shirk, Ethel Brownsberger. Funeral services will be Friday 1:30 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Fifth and Cumberland streets, Lebanon. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park. There will be no viewing, but friends may call Friday from 12:30 p.m. to the time of service in the funeral home.
