  Eli S. Burkholder METTER, GA Eli S. Burkholder, 83, formerly of Myerstown, died 
  December 31, 2009. He was the son of the late Jacob H. and Emma (Sensenig) 
  Burkholder. He was a member of the Little Mountain Mennonite Church. He is 
  survived by his wife, Edith (Zimmerman); one son, David Z. Burkholder and wife, 
  Lucille of Benton, Ill.; three daughters: Rachel, wife of Earl Heatwole, 
  Metter, Ga., Ruth, wife of Willis Mast, Myerstown, and Rhoda, wife of Wilber 
  Sweigart, Richland; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Elam 
  Burkholder, Ephrata; and three sisters: Maggie Horst, Quarryville, Anna 
  Burkholder, Ephrata, and Mary Burkholder, Myerstown. He was preceded in death 
  by and infant son, James; infant daughter, Magdalena; three brothers, Titus, 
  Jacob, and Ivan; and two sisters, Eva and Emma. A memorial service is planned 
  for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Metter Mennonite Church, Metter, Ga., where he resided 
  with his daughter. A viewing will be held at Little Mountain Mennonite Church 
  from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at 
  Centerville Mennonite Church. Burial will be in Martindale Mennonite Cemetery. 
  Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of 
  arrangements.
