Chapman LEBANON Bonita Louise (Stover) Chapman, 68, formerly of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Cedar Haven. She was born Tuesday, November 4, 1941, in Dauphin County, to the late George A. and Helen M. (Knoll) Stover. She retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of Palmyra Class of 1959, was an avid bingo player, enjoyed puzzles and was a dog lover. She is survived by daughter, Robin L. Snyder and husband, Thomas H. of Lebanon; son, Edward D. Powell and wife, Karen of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Alexander T. Snyder, Elizabeth Snyder, Jessica Powell, and Christopher Powell; a sister, Kathleen "Sis" Eshelman of Palmyra; and two brothers, Richard Stover and wife, Ann of Florida, and Michael Stover and wife, Salyn of Little Buffalo. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Powell. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, 17078 with the Rev. Jan R. Fryer officiating. Family and friends are invited for a time of viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and again on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 526 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042.
