  Dr. Drew E. Courtney MYERSTOWN Dr. Drew E. Courtney, 82, died Wednesday, August 
  19, 2009, at his residence. He was the loving husband of Sherry A. (Hiester) 
  Courtney, to whom he was married 25 years on February 18. His first wife, 
  Phyllis Guerin Courtney, died June 30, 1976. Born in Greensburg, February 4, 
  1927, he was the son of the late Drew Edward and Olive O'Neill Courtney. He was 
  a graduate of Ursinus College and received his Medical Degree from Thomas 
  Jefferson University, Philadelphia. Drew served in the U.S. Navy and practiced 
  Family Medicine in Myerstown for 54 years. He was a former president of the PA 
  Academy of Family Practice; was an avid tennis player and skier and enjoyed 
  flying airplanes as an amateur pilot. In addition to his wife, he was the 
  loving father to daughters, Barbara, wife of James Carroll of Norfolk, Va., and 
  Judith LewisKrisky, wife of Steven Krisky of Croton-OnHudson, New York; sons, 
  Drew Courtney, Jr. of Hershey, Michael, husband of Carole Courtney of 
  Telluride, Colo., Alvin B. Lewis, III husband of Deidre Lewis of New York City, 
  and Robert B., husband of Jill Lewis of Havre De Grace, Md.; eight 
  grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret, wife of David 
  Rutherford of Cape May Point, N.J. A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. 
  Saturday from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. The family 
  will receive friends at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the 
  Myerstown Community Library, 199 N. College St., Myerstown, PA 17067.
