M. shabodeho@aol.com November 18, 2009, 9:49 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 11/11/2009 Cox, Patricia (Quarry) Patricia Cox NEW CUMBERLAND Patricia (Quarry) Cox, 67, died Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked at Holy Spirit Hospital from its inception until retiring last month. She graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School and Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing. She was most recently a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland, after spending many years as parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Mechanicsburg. She was born July 21, 1942, in Lebanon, to the late Ralph and Anna (Kristovensky) Quarry. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maryann Blouch, wife of Cyril, and Christine Bruno, wife of Ralph; and two brothers, Ralph Quarry, Jr., husband to Jeanne, and Cyril Quarry, husband to Rosemarie. She is survived by her daughter, Amy L. Felton of New Cumberland; five sisters, Rita Leo, wife of Eugene of Camp Hill, Agnes Bering, wife of Dr. Joseph Bering of Lebanon, Lucille Kent, wife of Gary of Sparta, N.J., Delores Dishong, wife of Mervin of Lebanon, and Ann Beattie, wife of Raymond of Spring Mills; two brothers, Lawrence Quarry, husband to Patricia of Bedford, and John Quarry, husband to Barbara of Spring Mills; many nieces and nephews; and her granddaughters, Tabitha and Gracie Felton. Patti spent most of her life caring gently and dutifully for her patients as a dedicated nurse, but was most devoted to her role as mother and grandmother. She had an especially close bond to her daughter, Amy, and grandchildren, Tabi and Gracie, who will miss her greatly. She enjoyed visiting the mountains of Bedford and State College, following Penn State Football, and vacationing in Florida. Her loss will be greatly felt by all of her relatives, friends, and coworkers, and any who had the opportunity to know her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Memorial contributions will be used to continue the grandchildren's education at St. Theresa's Catholic School and should be sent to Ann Beattie, contact funeral home for address if needed.
