  David L. Davis, 65, of 709 North Second Avenue, Lebanon, died Thursday, June 
  11, 2009, at his home. He was born June 2, 1944, to the late Norman Lee and 
  Marguerite Mae Nowak Davis in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Parkview High 
  in 1962. He was a truck driver for A.B. Freight, and when he was not on the 
  open road he co-owned and helped operate "Little Bits of Heaven Daycare," which 
  was located at Ft. Indiantown Gap for 18 years. He retired in 2006 with his 
  wife. He was married for 35 years. Over the years David touched every life that 
  crossed his path. He was a kind, loving and caring individual who never raised 
  his voice or lost his temper. A smile was his umbrella all the way to the very 
  end. He had great compassion for his fellow man, and a love for children that 
  never ended. Surviving is wife Cheryl L. Wright Davis of Lebanon; daughter 
  Amberae Davis, spouse of Jeffrey Seveland of Lebanon; sister Bette, spouse of 
  Richard Carter of Colorado Springs; grandchild Tyra Seveland, the light of his 
  life; nephew Doug, spouse of Paddy Bright of Colorado Springs; nephew Dan, 
  spouse of Julie Bright of Arizona; niece Karen, spouse of John Heckthorne of 
  Utah; godchild Crystal, spouse of Joe Rudolph; mentor Philip Wagner Jr.; mentor 
  Sherri, spouse of John Dolheimer of York. Memorial services will be held 
  Friday, June 19, 2009, at 1:00 PM at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 
  Cumberland Street, Lebanon, with visitation one hour prior to the service. 
  Memorials can be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, 
  Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
