  Lloyd F. Deaven, Sr., age 93 of Hummelstown, died Saturday, February 14, 2009 
  in Frey Village, Middletown. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Henry) 
  Deaven who died January 19, 2007. He was born on December 4, 1915 in Jonestown 
  to Hiram & Gertrude Fox Deaven. He retired after 42 years from the Hershey 
  Chocolate Company as Mechanic Supervisor. He was a longtime member of the Union 
  Deposit United Methodist Church & the Union Deposit Lion's Club. He was an avid 
  wood worker, enjoyed cooking and playing pinochle. Surviving are his children, 
  Lloyd Deaven, Jr., & his wife Anna of Palmyra; Donald Deaven husband of the 
  late Linda Deaven of Harrisburg and Janet A. wife of Henry Bretherick of 
  Hummelstown; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a brother Russell 
  Deaven of Florida. Two sisters & four brothers preceded him in death. Relatives 
  & friends are invited for a time of viewing on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 
  9:30-10:30 AM at the Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 
  followed by his funeral with Rev. Gail Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in 
  Hanoverdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given 
  to the Union Deposit United Methodist Church, 34 W. Main St., Hershey, PA 
  17033. Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
