  Leroy B. "Lee" Dowhower Jr., 82, of 2340 W. Lehman Street, Lebanon, died 
  Sunday, May 24, 2009, at his home. He was born to the late Leroy B. and Julia 
  Neat Dowhower on December 23, 1926, in Bellwood, PA. He was a member of Avon 
  Zion United Methodist Church at 1205 E. Cumberland St. for 50 years. He was 
  also a veteran. He was a shipping clerk at Raymark in Manheim, was an avid 
  golfer, involved with the Senior Center, Lebanon Christian Ministries, taught 
  Bible study and wrote a monthly column in Avon's newsletter. He also took care 
  of his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Surviving is wife, Margaret M. 
  Heisey Dowhower of Lebanon; son, Daniel J., spouse of Constance Dowhower, of 
  Lebanon; daughter, Sharon L., spouse of Robert Griffiths, of Lebanon; brother 
  Robert Dowhower; sister Kathryn Rowe; grandchildren Jeffrey Zimmerman, Robin, 
  spouse of Tom McCabe, Robert L. Griffiths, Todd M., spouse of Natalie 
  Griffiths; greatgrandchildren Megan McCabe, Patrick McCabe, Morgan Griffiths, 
  Todd Griffiths Jr., Anthony Griffiths, Tyson Griffiths and a number of nieces 
  and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother, William Dowhower. Services 
  will be held Friday, May 29, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Avon Zion United Methodist 
  Church at 1205 E. Cumberland St., Lebanon, with viewing from 9:30 to 11. Burial 
  will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Avon Zion United 
  Methodist Church, 1205 E. Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
