Eck (nee Feather), 86, of Cedar Haven and formerly of Markethouse Place, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, in Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Robert C. Eck, who died in November 1986. She was born in Lebanon, on June 5, 1923, daughter of the late Jacob and Rachel Platt Feather. She was one of 14 children and the last of her immediate family. She was a member of St. Cecelia's Catholic Church and a graduate of Lebanon High School Class of 1941. She is survived by children, Robert J. Eck and wife, Shirley, Pauline M., wife of Charles Sweitzer, and Barbara A., wife of Michael Brungart, all of Lebanon; grandchildren, Barry, Mary, Andrew, Patrick, Ryan, Charles, Brenda, and Mosel; and great- grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, Kyle, Travis, Tyler, Joshua, Amanda, Melissa, Cooper, Victoria, Grace, Jazmine, Christian, and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her son, James A. Eck, and her sister, Christine Sholley. She retired from the former Keystone Centers of Lebanon and was last employed by Schwalm's Restaurant in Cleona. She was a volunteer at the Lebanon Community Library since 1989. She has served more than 5000 hours as the Paperback Dept. Coordinator. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Cecelia, 196 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Interment in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Those wishing to make memorial gifts may send contributions to her church or to the Lebanon Community Library, 125 N. 7th St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
