Victor H. Ensminger, 84, of Palmyra died Friday, March 26, 2009, in his residence. He was the husband of Janice Wert Ensminger, with whom he celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past June. Born in Lebanon on October 30, 1924, he was the son of the late Clayton and Kathryn Boyer Ensminger. He was employed by the Palmyra Borough Highway Department and also worked part time for NAPA Auto Parts for 10 years stocking and delivering parts. Vic was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of Korea, a lifetime active member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Annville, Lebanon Navy Club Ship 91, and the National VFW. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Alan P. Ensminger of Palmyra; two daughters, Lynn, wife of Jeffrey Kaley of Palmyra, Holly, wife of Shaun Nornhold of Campbelltown; a brother, David Ensminger of Palmyra, four grandchildren, Janelle Edris, Caitlin Ensminger, Tori Bechtel, and Adam Kaley; and a greatgrandchild, Kaley Edris. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Victor Ensminger; two brothers, Earl and Jacob Ensminger; and six sisters, Margarite Miller, Gladys Dysinger, Grace Parker, Marian Hess, Rose Mease, and Ruth Ann Saylor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment with military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 68 p.m., and also on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042; or his church, 710 S. White Oak Street, Annville, PA 17003; or Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 E. Brown Street, Middletown, PA 17057.
