  Erickson, Mary Behney   
   
  Mary Behney Erickson, 80, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, formerly of Villanova and 
  Lebanon, Pennsylvania, died after at brief illness at her home in Berwyn. Mrs. 
  Erickson was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State 
  University in 1950. She met her future husband at Penn State. He proposed on 
  their first date. She accepted on their third date. After college, Mrs. 
  Erickson worked briefly as an Executive Assistant at Hershey Chocolate Company. 
  Mary Erickson married John Erickson on June 26, 1951. The couple lived briefly 
  in Sacramento, California, and returned to Pennsylvania in 1953. The couple 
  joined Overbrook Golf Club in 1964. Mrs. Erickson was a member of Overbrook 
  until her death. Mrs. Erickson was the mother of four children: Ann, John, 
  Peter and Donald. She was predeceased by her husband and son Donald. At the age 
  of 40, Mrs. Erickson took up golf. After her husband taught her to play, she 
  consistently beat him for the rest of his life. In 1984, Mrs. Erickson was the 
  Overbrook Golf Club Women's Golf Champion. In 1985, she was the Overbrook Golf 
  Club Handicap Champion. For over 20 years, Mrs. Erickson was active in the Golf 
  Association of Philadelphia. Mrs. Erickson also played competitive bridge on 
  the Overbrook Golf Club Women's team for more than 20 years. Relatives and 
  friends are invited to a funeral mass on Thursday at 10:00 AM, Church of St. 
  Thomas of Villanova (Main Campus) where friends may call after 9:00 AM. 
  Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Paoli Library, 18 
  Darby Road, Paoli, PA 19301 would be appreciated.
