David V. Finkle David V. Finkle, 65, of 1525 Sholly Ave., Lebanon, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, in the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Agnes Drahovsky Finkle. Born in Lebanon on December 5, 1943, he was the son of the late Vernon D. and Eileen Henry Finkle. He was an audit specialist, retired from Labor & Industries. He was a 1961 graduate of Lebanon High School, and a graduate of Penn State and Yuba College. He was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church, where he was an Eucharistic minister, director of bingo, religious education teacher, and was in charge of St. Benedict's Blood Bank. He was a member of the Friendship Fire Co., St. Paul's Over 50 Club, senior center, Polka Pals of Lebanon, Dutchland Polkateers of Lititz, VFW; he was a third degree knight, and served on the board for the Knights of Columbus, life member of the Catholic War Veterans, vice president of the Senior Adult Ministry, a member of the American Legion, and treasurer of the American Legion Council. He was a cub master and leader of Pack No. 412, and was involved in the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid bingo player, and also liked spending time on his computer. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served four years. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Eileen Rivera, Melissa Swyers, Nicole Finkle and Jessica Finkle; four step-sons, Gregory Drahovsky, Daniel Bieber, David Bieber and Christian Bieber; 23 grandchildren; three brothers, Rick Finkle, Edward Finkle and Tony Finkle; one sister, Carole Reichard; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Paul Finkle. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 11 from St. Benedict The Abbot Church, 1300 Lehman St., Lebanon 17046. Interment Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing hours Monday evening, 6-9, with recitation of the rosary at 8:45 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., and Tuesday morning, 1011, at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Benedict's Church.
