Mildred N. Fisher, 97, of the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, formerly of 643 E. Maple Street, Annville, died Friday, July 24, 2009, in the home. She was the wife of the late William W. Fisher, who died in 1969. Born in Annville on March 26, 1912, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Lizzie V. Kreider Nye. She was employed as a Clerk for Bethlehem Steel Corp., Lebanon, and also worked as an Assistant Librarian at the Annville Elementary School. Millie was the last surviving member of the 1930 graduating class of Annville High School and a 1934 graduate of Lebanon Valley College. She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Annville, where she was a former Deacon, a member of Consistory, served on the Worship, Education, and Scholarship Committees, and was a volunteer for the Annville Free Library. Surviving is a son John J., husband of Tracie Fisher of Lebanon, two daughters, Suzanne, wife of James McCall of Lancaster, and Eleanor Fisher of Frederick, Md., and three grandchildren Erin, wife of Sean Kelly, Adam W. Fisher and Geoffrey S. McCall. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor K. and M. Byrl Nye, and six sisters, Carrie E. Louser, Florence I. Nye, Alverta N. Nye, Allegra V. Wenger, Edith A. Good and Quebe E. Nye. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Lebanon Valley Home, 550 E. Main St. Annville. Interment will be in Mt. Annville Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 9:30-11 AM prior to the service at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Church, 200 S. White Oak Street, Annville, PA 17003, or the Annville Free Library, 216 E. Main Street, Annville, PA 17003. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
