Donald F. Foltz Sr., 89, Spang Crest Manor, formerly of East Guilford Street, Lebanon, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, in the manor. He was the husband of Mary Stanilla Foltz. He was born in Lebanon on April 3, 1919, son of the late Samuel and Kathryn Bentz Foltz. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Lebanon, and a life member of R. Field & Stream, Friendship Fire Co., and the Maennorchor Club. He enjoyed rose gardening for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Joseph and wife Marion Foltz of Lebanon, Robert and wife Rebecca Foltz of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Thomas and wife Marian Foltz of Cleona. He was preceded in death by son Donald F. Foltz Jr.; daughter Katherine Foltz, brother Richard Foltz and sister Katherine Loose. Funeral services Monday, March 30, 2009, at 11 a.m., Rohland Funeral Home Inc., Fifth and Cumberland streets, Lebanon, where a viewing will be held Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m. Interment Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spang Crest Manor, 945 Duke St., Lebanon 17042; or St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 534 E. Lehman St., Lebanon 17046.
