John M. Freeman, 85, of Hershey passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009, at home. Born in Loysville, Pa., he was the son of the late Luther Scott and Myrtle A. (Hollbauch) Freeman. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Bernice (Peffley) Freeman. John was a member of the Independent Bible Church of Sand Beach, and was treasurer of his Sunday school class. He worked over 40 years in the molding room at the Hershey Chocolate Company. John was survived by one son, Kenneth J. Freeman of Palmyra; one daughter, Trudy Marie Mullis of Tampa, Florida; one brother, Harold Freeman of Carlisle; one sister, Ruby Johnson of Honeybrook, Pa.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, at Independent Bible Church of Sand Beach, 216 East Canal Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church. Professional services provided by the Auer Funeral Home, 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, Pa.
