Fuhrman, 92, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was the husband of Hilda Miller Fuhrman who died in 1997. Born in Deck Acres, on October 13, 1917, he was the son of the late Frank and Lily Mae Hoffman Fuhrman. He worked for 47 years as a Foreman for the Lebanon Steel Foundry and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Grant was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Cleona, Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 F.&A.M., the Rescue Fire Company, and was a former member of the Cleona Borough Council. He enjoyed camping, traveling with his wife and family, playing cards, gardening, and woodworking. Very talented in construction, he built his own home. Surviving are children, Kenneth G., husband of Debra Fuhrman of Palmyra, and Nancy A. Heist of Mays Landing, N.J.; grandchildren, Ronald Heist, Sr., Gary Heist, Jennifer Heist, Michelle Pabst, Michael Fuhrman, and Andrew Peiffer; greatgrandchildren, Meghan Leavitt, Ronald Heist, Jr., Jordan Heist, Chase Heist, Briana Heist, Quinn Heist, Hailey Leavitt. Courtney Heist, and Gavin Pabst; and a great-great-grandson Kade Christianson. Also surviving is his best friend 'Jake', the dog. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Fuhrman; and two sisters, Edith Peffley and Kathryn Croesus. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, N. Lebanon Twp. Viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Hospice, 1700 S.
