  Shirley S. Gable, 66, of 2008 Penn St., Lebanon, died Saturday, February 14, 
  2009 at her home. She was born April 11, 1942 in Lebanon, daughter of the late 
  Roy S. and Salome S. Strickler Carpenter. She was a member of St. Luke's 
  Episcopal Church. She had been a pasta worker for Hershey Pasta. Surviving are 
  husband Alfred R. Gable of Lebanon; daughter Tammy S. Gable and son Alfred R. 
  Gable Jr., both of Lebanon; sister Jane spouse of Donald Peffley of Lebanon; 5 
  grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 
  brothers Robert S. Carpenter and Larry Carpenter and sisters Gloria S. 
  Carpenter and Ruby Dry. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 
  2009 at 10AM in the Open Door Baptist Church, 875 Academy Drive, Lebanon.
