  William R. Gable, Sr. LEBANON William R. Gable, Sr., 81, died Friday, September 
  25, 2009, in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Kathryn 
  E. Bahm Gable, to whom he was married over 60 years. He was born in Lebanon, on 
  February 26, 1927, a son of the late Theodore and Mary Werner Gable. He was the 
  owner and operator of Gable and Son Roofing Company in Lebanon. He had served 
  in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Gable was a member of the Penn National Thoroughbred 
  Association. He was a former member of the Neversink Fire Company and the 
  Pleasant Hill Gun Club. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived 
  by a son, William R., Jr. and wife, Barbara J. Gable of Lebanon; grandchildren, 
  Steven W. and wife, Susan M. Gable of Lebanon, and Jill A., wife of Matthew A. 
  Becker of Lebanon; greatgrandchildren, Kathleen Gable, Madeline Gable, Anna 
  Gable, and Emma Gable; sister, Helen White; brother, Alfred Gable; and several 
  nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, William R. Gable, 
  III; brothers, Henry and Theodore Gable; and sisters, Dorothy Granger and 
  Gladys Gable. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Rohland 
  Funeral Home, 5th and Cumberland Sts., Lebanon. Interment will be made in 
  Ebenezer Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to the time of 
  service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to 
  the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042.
