Kenneth N. Galbraith, 76, of Lebanon died Saturday, January 10, 2009, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born October 1, 1932, in Lebanon, son of the late Charles and Mary Frank Galbraith. He was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir, served for 16 years on the church council, and was formerly an active Boy Scout leader. He was a U.S. Air force veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a machinist for 29 years with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, and a retired carpenter from Arthur Funk & Sons. He volunteered at Camp Kirchenwald, and was a member of the Navy Ship Club No. 91, and member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Lodge, and was a past exalted ruler and past district deputy. Surviving are his wife, J. LaRue Baeshore Galbraith; children Neal, spouse of Brenda Fuhrman Galbraith, and Susan, spouse of the Rev. Daniel Donmoyer, both of Lebanon, Nancy, spouse of Craig Brightbill of Palmyra; brother Yale Galbraith of Lebanon; and sister Fay Kleinfelter of Delaware; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Earl and Charles Galbraith. Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, preceded by BPOE service at 6:30 p.m. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. Private cremains interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to his church or Pennsylvania Elks Legacy Trust Fund, Box 77 Rockwood, PA 15557.
