Olive S. Gasper Olive S. Gasper, 84, of Hershey, formerly of St. Joseph, Mich., died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in the Twin Oaks Nursing Center in Campbelltown. Olive was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister. She was born April 24, 1924, in Beckville, Texas, daughter of the late Linus and Blondale Steger. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, and retired from Hershey Foods. Olive was known for her impeccable sense of fashion and clothing design, and won several seamstress awards for her talent. She was also an avid bowler and loved dancing, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and kindness. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce E. Kalenevitch, and her husband, Barry of St. Joseph, Mich.; four grandchildren, Angela Andrews of West Chester, Pa., Mark Kalenevitch of Harrisburg, Michael Kalenevitch of St. Joseph, Mich., Ashley Gasper of Los Angeles, Calif.; three greatgrandchildren, Isaac and Alex Andrews, and Gavin Kalenevitch. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Gasper. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2009, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Route 422 and Lucy Avenue in Hershey, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave, Hershey. Interment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill. The family requests memorial contributions are made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 211 Church St., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory of Hershey is handling the arrangements.
