  Irene R. Geib, 93, formerly of Myerstown, PA, passed away of natural causes at 
  the Sterling House in Palm Coast on May 4, 2009. Born March 19, 1916, in 
  Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of Robert C. and Mabel (Shully) Risser. Her 
  husband, John W. Geib, preceded her in death on October 17, 2000, in PA. Irene 
  moved to Flagler Beach, Fla., in 2001 with her surviving daughter Gail G. Kach 
  and her son-in-law, John S. Kach. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews 
  and their families in PA and IL. There are also 3 stepchildren and their 
  families in IL, MO, NV, and NC. Irene loved nature and animals and was a member 
  of Friedens Lutheran Church in Myerstown, PA, where she lived, worked and 
  worshiped for 85 years. She graduated from Myerstown High School and the 
  Lebanon Business School and worked as an office manager in the Myerstown area. 
  She was active with the Girl Scouts in Myerstown and also the town's 
  Bicentennial Celebration in 1968 and the country's Bicentennial in 1976. A 
  memorial service will be held in Myerstown, PA, at a later date with the 
  graveside burial of her ashes. Memorial donations may be made to the Flagler 
  Humane Society, 1 Shelter Dr. Palm Coast, FL 32137 or to the Lebanon County 
  Humane Society, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067. Arrangements are in the 
  care and trust of CraigFlagler Palms Funeral Home
