Wagner Kathryn M. Wagner Gerlach, 98, of Union Deposit, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009, in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in West Hanover Township on November 20, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Kathryn Keeney Wagner. Kathryn was a homemaker and devoted mother to her family and to everyone who came to visit. She was a member of Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, Hershey. Kathryn loved to bake pies, do housework, and pick strawberries and apples. She was a caring and generous neighbor. was preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Gerlach, Sr., on January 21, 1990; one daughter, Kathryn Anna "Patsy" Gerlach, on May 27, 1979; one sister, Bertha Gingrich; and six brothers, Samuel, Paul, Kermit, Norman, Marlin and Herman. She is survived by two sons, Charles W. Gerlach, Jr., husband of Brigitte, of Colonial Heights, VA, and Daniel D. Gerlach, husband of Joyce, of Pretty Prairie, KS; two daughters, Karen M. of Middletown and Bonnie S. Angert, wife of Dave, of Campbelltown; two brothers, John Wagner, husband of Arlene, of Hershey and Mark Wagner, husband of Shirley, of Hershey; four sisters, Elizabeth "Becky" Grove and Mary W. Hixon, wife of Harold, both of Hummelstown, and Ruth Hetrick and June Seesholtz, wife of Charles, both of Hershey; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and 10 step great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at 2 PM in the Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, 335 East Areba Avenue, Hershey, with the Rev. Dennis Garrison, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Hanoverdale Cemetery. Friends will be received for a viewing Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from 6 to 8 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, and Wednesday at the church from 1 PM until time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home, 1 Masonic drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
