  Kenneth L. Gibson PINE GROVE Kenneth L. Gibson, Sr., 64, passed away on Sunday, 
  August 23, 2009, at home. Born on October 26, 1944, in Harrisburg, he was a son 
  of Lester and Lillian Straub Gibson of Pine Grove. He was a 1962 graduate of 
  Pine Grove Area High School. Kenneth was a musician and during his career was 
  honored to play with Tony Bennett, Patsy Kline, and Bobby Vinton. He also 
  opened for Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. He had a top 10 hit in Schuylkill Co. 
  with his song 'Our Wedding Day'. Surviving are his son, Kenneth L. Gibson, Jr. 
  of Pine Grove; two daughters, Melody Logan of Cleona, and Lyric Gibson of 
  Orlando, Fla.; his grandchildren, Cameran and Brandon Gibson and Emersyn Mader; 
  a sister, Patricia Edwards of Lebanon; a brother, Ronald Gibson of Minersville; 
  and his companion, Doris Jean Leaman. He was preceded in death by his wife, 
  Mary Jane Bolton Gibson; and a sister, Diane Irene Gibson. Memorial services 
  will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine 
  Grove, with Pastor Richard Borger officiating. There will be a calling time 
  from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A celebration of life service 
  will follow at a later date.
