M. shabodeho@aol.com September 13, 2009, 9:51 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 9/5/2009 Graby, Betty Benfer Betty Benfer Graby PALMYRA Betty Benfer Graby, 79, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. She was born Sunday, June 22, 1930, in Lebanon County, to the late Norman L. Benfer and Helen M. Yeagley Benfer. She was retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company and was a member of the Chocolate Workers Union, Local 464. She was also a member of the Orioles Club where she enjoyed singing karaoke. She valued a good word search and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Loraine L., wife of Dale George of Palmyra, and Joan M., wife of Richard Werner of Manheim; eight grandchildren, Terri, wife of Randy Mease of Lebanon, Vicki Tireman of Texas, Ken Tireman of North Carolina, Lance Barbush of Palmyra, Stephanie Barbush of Harrisburg, Karri Tireman of North Carolina, Heather, wife of Todd Forrey of Manheim, and Erika Werner of Lititz; 13 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild; and a sister, June, wife of Jacob Long of Myerstown. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Tireman; and two sisters, Anna M. Sterner and Lucy E. Schneck. Friends and family are invited for a time of viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 7, at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra. You can view again on Tuesday at the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra, from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a service officiated by Pastor Howard Hess. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PinnacleHealth Hospice, 2465 N. 3rd St., Suite 300, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
