M. shabodeho@aol.com November 17, 2009, 10:06 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 11/2/2009 Granger, Miriam Miriam Granger PALMYRA Miriam (Ensminger) Granger, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at The Good Samaritan Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband Russell D. Granger in 1985. She was born Sunday, September 22, 1912, in Derry Township to the late Rudolph and Clara (Fetteroff) Ensminger. She had worked as a seamstress at Weavers Garment and Annville Shoe Factory. She was the oldest member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Cleona, was former Secretary of Cleona Senior Citizens, and enjoyed antiquing with the love of her life Russ. Most of all, she will be remembered for her "sunny disposition", unique sense of humor, and positive outlook on life, lessons her children and their families will cherish forever. She is survived by a daughter, Joan E. Miller and husband, Wilson of Lebanon; two sons, James R. Granger and wife, Sandy of Columbus, Ga., John D. Granger and wife, Donna of Midlothian, Va.; eight grandchildren, Brad Miller and wife, Kim of Chesterfield, Mo., Brian Miller and wife, Maria of Fredericksburg, Brett Miller and wife, Elizabeth of Middletown, Del., Kristin Miller of Allentown, Bill Granger and wife, Tamara of Ashburn, Va., Elyse Granger of Richmond, Va., Collin Granger of Winston Salem, N.C., Ardyn Granger of Midlothian, Va.; six greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at the Di Matteo Worship Center, Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Street, Palmyra, with Chaplin Norman D. Yeater and the Rev. Gary M. Jacabella officiating. Family and friends are invited for a time of viewing from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 29 E. Maple St., Cleona, PA 17042. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra has been entrusted with the arrangements.
