  Gross, Alice A.  
   
  Alice A. Gross MANHEIM Alice A. Patches Gross, 89, of Mt. Hope Nazarene 
  Retirement Community, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the home. She was born 
  February 25, 1920, to the late Edward and Mabel Wenrich Patches in Lebanon. She 
  was a member of First Baptist Church, Lebanon, where she was very active. She 
  was also an avid gardener, loved puzzles, and was an excellent cook. Surviving 
  are sister, Dorothy M., spouse of Ephraim Haak of Campbelltown; and a number of 
  nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, William E. Gross, on 
  November 21, 2001; brothers, Ralph E., John H., Miles E., Earl, Frank, and 
  Edward; and sisters, Hilda I. Donmoyer, Betty J. Miller, Arlene K. Lutz, 
  Lillian Solesky, and Mary Heisey. Viewing is scheduled for Monday, October 12, 
  2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., 
  Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. 
  Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Alzheimer's 
  Assoc. - Greater PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 
  17110. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family with the 
  arrangements.
