  Mary P. Gruber Mary P. Gruber 97 formerly of Bernville and Richland died July 
  21, 2009 in the ECC Retirement Village, Albright Campus, Myerstown where she 
  had resided 5 years. Born in Jefferson Township she was a daughter of the late 
  Alfred S. and Annie (Zerbe) Gruber. She had been employed as a cook for Berks 
  Heim County Home for 21 years retiring in 1984. She was a member of Zion & St. 
  John's Reeds Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg where she was a member of its Ladies 
  Aid Society. She is survived by 1 son Harold A. husband of Ruth Ann (Keener) 
  Gruber of Mt. Aetna and 4 grandchildren Jennifer L. Gruber, Harold L. Gruber, 
  Michael G. Gruber and Brian A. Gruber and 7 great grandchildren. There is also 
  1 niece Shelva J. Schaner of Shoemakersville. She was predeceased by several 
  brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in Kirkhoff 
  Funeral Home 206 N. Main Street Bernville with the Rev. Fred Allen officiating. 
  Burial will follow in St. John's Host Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday one 
  hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Contributions in honor of her 
  great grandchildren's education fund may be directed to Harold A. Gruber PO Box 
  199 Mt. Aetna, PA 19544.
