  Eugene "Pop" E. Hafer, 70, of 230 S. Quince St., Lebanon, died Friday, July 24, 
  2009, at his residence. He was the husband of Annie L. Whitman Hafer. Born 
  February 3, 1939, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Henry L. and 
  Dorothy Reifsnider Hafer. He was a retired PPCP Steelworker. He was an avid 
  collector of trains, tins and steins. Surviving in addition to his wife are 7 
  children: Terry, husband of Donna Barto of Lititz; Richard, husband of Josie 
  Barto of Merritt Island, FL.; David, husband of Marilyn Barto of Myerstown; 
  Ernest, husband of Debra Barto of Lebanon; Darryl, husband of Debra Barto of 
  Blue Ball; Debra, wife of Richard Bashore of Bethel; and Tracey, wife of 
  Timothy Spangler of Lebanon; 17 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; 4 
  brothers: Morris, Harold, Richard and Norman; 1 sister, Joyce; Many nieces and 
  nephews. Preceded in death by 1 brother, Louis. Funeral services Wednesday at 
  11 a.m. from Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Interment at 
  Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Viewing hours Wednesday morning 10-11 at the funeral
