Pine St., Palmyra, Pa., died Sunday, January 18, 2009, in his residence. He is the husband of Donna Cordiano Hannick. He was born in New York on December 11, 1957, to James McCarty and Caryll Ritchie Zangardi. He is preceded in death by his parents and his second father, Sonny Zangardi. He was retired from Max Jet an Airlines Operations Company. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Palmyra. He was an antique car collector; enjoyed traveling and snowboarding. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Surviving in addition to his loving wife are his sons, John D. Hannick of Boston, Mass., and Mark C. Hannick of Harrisburg, Pa.; his sisters, Leah, wife of Paul Summers of Sidney, N.Y., and Sunny Ann, wife of Joseph Schwartz of Moosic, Pa.; his brothers, William, husband of Lynda Hannick of Scranton, Pa., and Richard, husband of Laurie Hannick of Old Forge, Pa. A private memorial Mass will be celebrated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Building Fund, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078; or to the Palmyra Area High School Renaissance, 1125 Park Drive, Palmyra, PA 17078; or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
