   Hardick, Robert Eugene   
    
   Robert Eugene Hardick, 69, Hopkinsville, Ky., died at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday 
   afternoon, March 26, 2009, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville 
   after a long illness. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the 
   Duncan Chapel of Second Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Larry Purcell 
   and the Rev. Robert D. Lawrence. Visitation will be at the church form 11 a.m. 
   until the funeral hour. Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in 
   charge of arrangements. A native of Myerstown, Pa., born August 1, 1939, he was 
   the son of the late Ernest Raymond and Elsie Violet Schneck Hardick. He was a 
   member of Second Baptist Church and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 
   years of service. Survivors include his wife, Diane Sivells Hardick; two sons, 
   Jamie Hardick and Jack Hardick, both of Summervilile, S.C.; two daughters, 
   Allison Eakes and Kathy Coker, both of Columbus, Ga.; one step-daughter, 
   Jennifer Polley Flatt of Brentwood, Tenn.; one brother, Milford Hardick of 
   Bernville, Pa.; one sister, Peggy Schock of Hesston, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 
   and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bob 
   Hardick Fund, c/o Second Baptist Church, 720 West Seventh St., Hopkinsville, KY 
   42240.
