  John W. Heckrote Jr., 50, of Piedmont, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 11, 
  2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Pottstown on January 2, 
  1959, he was the son of John W. Heckrote of Pensacola, Fla., and Gail Goggins 
  Irvin, wife of Samuel of Alabama. John was a machinist, and loved to work with 
  wood or do anything involving tools. In addition to his parents, John is 
  survived by his wife of 15 years, Denise M. Shirey Heckrote, whom he married on 
  January 1, 1994; one son, Johnny Rauco, husband of Jessica of Jacksonville, 
  Fla.; one daughter, Amber Rauco of Jacksonville, Fla.; two step-children, 
  Shelli Krow, wife of Roy "Clint" Jr., and Aaron Zimmerman, husband of 
  Christina, all of Myerstown; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald Ray 
  Heckrote, husband of Jackie of Reading, and Joseph Hoagie of California. Trefz 
  & Bowser Funeral Home Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the 
  arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial 
  contributions be made to the American Heart Association, Capital Region, 4999 
  Louise Drive, Suite 104, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Published in the Lebanon
