  John G. Held, Jr. PINE GROVE John G. Held, Jr., 63, formerly of Johnstown, 
  passed away August 22, 2009, at home. Born on April 11, 1946, in New York, 
  N.Y., he was a son of Genevieve Walsh Held of Virginia Beach, Va., and the late 
  John G. Held, Sr. He was an Air Force veteran, having served with the 4624 
  Support Sq. John worked as a technical engineer at Indiantown Gap and was in 
  control of all communications. He was a past commander of American Legion in 
  Jonestown and was a member of Pine Grove Fish & Game, Roedersville Game & Fish, 
  Strausstown Rod & Gun Club, and the Perciville Fire Co. Surviving are his 
  companion, Sue Hesser of Pine Grove; two daughters, Hillari Corey of Lancaster, 
  Ohio, and Heather Lawless of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sons, Jamin Held of 
  Columbus, Ohio, and Sean Held of Texas; a stepson, Nicholas Held; a brother, 
  James Held of Virginia Beach, Va.; four sisters, Joanne Buckley and Janice 
  Long, both of Virginia Beach, Va., Judith Mintz of Alexandria, Va., and Joyce 
  Gerbe of Wilmington, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews. All 
  services will be held at the convenience of the family. The H. L. Snyder 
  Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
