  Mae R. Hertzog, 92, of Newmanstown, Pa., died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at her 
  residence. She was the widow of Norman Hertzog who died in 1986. Born in 
  Newmanstown, Pa. on May 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus W. and 
  Edith M. (Bender) Snyder. She was a 1935 graduate of Newmanstown High School. 
  Before becoming a homemaker, she had been a clerk at C. Walker Snyder's Texaco, 
  Newmanstown until it's closing in 1963. She was a member of the Church of 
  Christian Outreach, Newmanstown and had been the Judge of Elections for the 
  voting polls in Millcreek Twp. for many years. She was an avid knitter and 
  reader, enjoyed gardening and baking and was known for her delicious fasnacht's 
  which she sold in the community. She is survived by a daughter Rebecca wife of 
  James Hoffman of Myerstown, Pa.; son Noel husband of Wendy Hertzog with whom 
  she resided; grandchildren Allyson Buffenmeyer, Myerstown, J. Ryan Hoffman, 
  Newmanstown, Kent Hertzog, Sinking Spring, Pa., Ashley Hertzog, Nashville, 
  Tennessee; 1 great granddaughter Addison Buffenmeyer, Myerstown; several nieces 
  and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Huggins and brother 
  Clark Snyder. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11 am. from 
  Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing Friday at 10 
  am. Interment at Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown, Pa. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christian 
  Outreach, 101 West Main Street, Newmanstown, Pa. 17073.
