  Hitz Jr., Alfred J. "Knobby"   
   
  Alfred J. "Knobby" Hitz Jr., age 81, of South Lebanon Township, Lebanon, died 
  Thursday, April 9, 2009, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He is the husband of 
  Mary (Groy) Hitz. He was born in Campbelltown on December 3, 1927, to Alfred J. 
  Hitz Sr. and Theresa Coleman Hitz. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He was 
  a member of the Quentin United Church of Christ, the Campbelltown American 
  Legion, and a former member of the Campbelltown Lions Club. He was an avid 
  Nascar fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Stephen J. Hitz and 
  his wife, Jeanne Berlin of Palmyra, and Thomas J. Hitz of Harrisburg; his 
  granddaughter, Melissa Hackmaster of Spring Branch, Texas; and two great-
  grandchildren, Garrett and McKenzie; his sister, Eleanor Gaspari of Hershey. 
  Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Thursday, April 
  16, 2009, from 1-2 at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, 
  followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Committal services will be private in 
  the Gravel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
  given to Hospice of the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln St., 
  Lebanon, PA 17042.
