Paul J. Hunsicker, 93, of Palmyra and formerly of Allentown, reached his eternal rest on Thursday February 5, 2009, in the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra. Born in Allentown, PA, on August 31, 1915, he was the son of the late Clinton and Prunella Heller Hunsicker. He was an executive manager for Lomo Machine Manufacturing, Inc., Alburtis, PA and retired as an accountant from Swanger Bros., Allentown. Paul was a 1933 graduate of Allentown High School and a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Allentown and Palmyra Church of the Brethren where he attended Sunday School. Surviving is his wife, Martha C. Thimm Hunsicker, and her son Mark Gibbel, and his children Kate and James of Brooklyn, NY; two daughters, Paulette Griefen of New York, NY and granddaughter Katherine Griefen of Brooklyn, NY; Shirley, wife of Robert Gallagher of Harrisburg, and grandson Timothy, husband of Wendy Gallagher; and greatgrandchildren Kiley and Tyler Gallagher of Palmyra; grandson Brian, husband of Colleen Gallagher, and great-grandchildren Luke and Emily Gallagher of Eldersburg, MD, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Edith Moyer Hunsicker and was the youngest of 12 children, and also preceded in death by Albert, Luther, Cecil, and Merrill Gallagher in infancy, brothers Edward and Horace Hunsicker, and sisters Esther Stephens, Hattie Lieb, Mary Wagner, Adeline Berkley, and Miriam Hunsicker. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the DiMatteo Worship Center, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewing will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service in the Worship Center. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
