  Barry L. Hurst, age 67, of 848 Victoria Lane, Palmyra, died Tuesday, January 6, 
  2009, in his residence. He is the husband of Donna J. (Emlet) Hurst, whom he 
  was married to for the past 44 years. They would of celebrated their 45th 
  wedding anniversary on April 25, 2009. He was born on September 18, 1941, in 
  Harrisburg to Woodrow W. and Elizabeth Nolte Hurst. He retired in 2005 as owner 
  and operator of Hurst Flooring in Harrisburg. Prior to the flooring business, 
  he was a private contractor. He was a graduate of Central Dauphin Class of 
  1959. His life was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed 
  fishing, Penn State football, and the LA Dodgers baseball team. He was a member 
  of the Wolverine Hunting Lodge in Halifax and for 30 years; he was ring foreman 
  of the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Surviving him in addition to his wife 
  Donna, are his mother, Elizabeth Hurst of Harrisburg; his son, Brian K. Hurst 
  of New Cumberland; daughters Lynnette J., wife of William Holste, and Kimberly 
  J. Bamford, both of Hummelstown; five grandchildren; and his sister, Shirley 
  Winter of Harrisburg. A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 10, 2009, 
  at 11 at the Melrose Gardens Grace Brethren Church, 2205 Swatara St., 
  Harrisburg, with Pastor Allen Echard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
  contributions may be given to the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice House, 1701 
  Lingelstown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17025. Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., was 
  entrusted with arrangements.
