  Hyde Jr., Warren "Phil"   
   
  Warren "Phil" Hyde Jr. Warren "Phil" Hyde Jr., 79, of 820 Main St., Watsontown, 
  died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in 
  Bloomsburg on December 26, 1929, he was a son of the late Warren Phillip Sr. 
  and Laura (Brace) Hyde. His wife of 51 years, the former Lida H. Seriff, died 
  September 7, 2007. A graduate of Watsontown High School, Phil attended Lycoming 
  College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, and served aboard the 
  U.S.S. Consolation hospital ship. Phil retired from J.C. Penney after many 
  years of employment in display and advertising. Prior to his career with 
  Penney's, he worked for the former L.L. Stearns in Williamsport. He was a 
  member of Third Street United Methodist Church in Williamsport. Phil held a 
  deep affection for horses and dogs (especially Pekinese). He owned numerous 
  horses and, in 1946, rode in the first Penn National Horse Show in Harrisburg. 
  Phil became a professional ringmaster and horse show rodeo announcer, as well 
  as a professional trick roper. He attended many state fairs and shows, and was 
  a member of the Circus Historical Society, the Circus Fans of America and the 
  Circus Model Builders. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen P. 
  and Lauralea Hyde of Montoursville; two daughters and sonsin-law, Marla J. and 
  Brian Forsman of Williamsburg, Va., and Debra A. and James "Chip" Stanilla of 
  Lebanon; and two grandchildren, Alexander J. Stanilla and Devlin Hyde. In 
  addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Hyde, 
  who died July 9, 1996. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, 
  March 13, at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, 
  where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Kenneth A. 
  Geise, longtime family friend and pastor of Independent Bible Church, 
  Northumberland. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. 
  Memorial contributions may be made to your local S.P.C.A. or an animal shelter 
  of your choice.
