  Catherine A. Keefer, 93, of Middletown passed away Wednesday at Community 
  General Osteopathic Hospital. She was born on August 12, 1915, in Lebanon to 
  the late Phillip Bixler and Mabel (Heddinger) Gerhart. She retired from the 
  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Revenue. She was a member of the 
  Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Harrisburg, and the Susannah Rebecca 
  Lodge No. 247. She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Keefer; and 
  her sister, Florence Gerhart. She is survived by her daughter, Gertrude M. Wike 
  of Fredericksburg; brother Walter Gerhart of Manheim; sister Ellen Sherman of 
  Lebanon; granddaughter Beverly Keller and her husband, David A. Sr. of 
  Jonestown; two greatgrandchildren, Tricia Keller of Royersford, David A. Keller 
  Jr. of Winchester, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 
  held on Friday, January 9th, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of 
  Latter-Day Saints, 4788 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg, 17111. There will be a 
  viewing from noon to 1 p.m. at her church. Burial will be held at the 
  convenience of the family. Arrangement by Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut 
  Street, Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American 
  Cancer Society, 3211 North Front, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
