  Keener Sr., Emanuel "Manny"    
   
    
  Emanuel "Manny" Keener Sr., 84, of 822 Sylvan Lane, Lebanon, died Monday, May 
  4, 2009, in his residence. He was the husband of the late Arlene Horst Keener. 
  He was born November 12, 1924, in Hershey, a son of the late Frank and Ida S. 
  Wilson Keener. He was a retired 40-year employee of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, 
  as well as worked parttime splitting and delivering wood for over 40 years. He 
  is survived by children, Emanuel "Butch" Keener Jr., at home; Barbara Keener, 
  Deb Zipp and Ida "Toot" Keener, all of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; eleven 
  great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor "Noll" Pucket, Lebanon; Erlene "Tull" 
  Keener, Hershey; Mariam "Tuss" Nye, Bethel; brothers, Lloyd "Fritz" Keener, 
  Manheim; John "Alfred" Keener, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by stepson, 
  James T. Horst; grandson, Brian Horst; seven brothers and four sisters. Funeral 
  service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 
  Cumberland St., Lebanon, with a viewing beginning on Friday at 10:00 AM. 
  Interment will be made in the Colebrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, 
  contributions may be made to the GSH Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 
  17042, or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
