Keener, 97, of Robesonia, died July 15th, 2009, of natural causes in his residence. His wife, Anna M. (Batz) Keener, died April 18, 1997. Born in Sinking Spring, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Mary Matilda (Stricker) Keener. He was an engineer for the Reading Railroad from 1932 to 1976. He was also a selfemployed farmer. He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C., Robesonia; I.B.E.W., Hamburg Moose Lodge, and an honorary member of the Conrad Weiser Chapter F.F.A. He is survived by son Jack L. Keener, Newmanstown; two daughters, Mary A., widow of Warren Ohlinger, Temple, and Linda L., widow of Mark Oxenreider, Lansdale. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 greatgreatgrandson. He was also preceded by son Richard D. Keener on June 22, 2008, daughter Marilyn A. Lebo in 1989, and an infant son Curtis Keener in 1938. Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville. Interment at Host Church Cemetery, Tulpehocken Twp. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Conrad Weiser Chapter F.F.A., 44 Big Spring Rd., Robesonia, PA 19551.
