Keller, 84, went home to Jesus, his Lord, on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Hospice in Mount Joy, surrounded by his loving family, following a chronic health condition. He was the husband of Arlene Schlosser Keller, to whom he was married to for 60 years on June 12, 2009. Norman was born to Mark Bucher Keller and Stella Eshelman on October 28, 1925, in Buffalo Springs, Lebanon County. After the early death of his father, Norman faithfully assumed the responsibility of President of Keller Brothers ford in Buffalo Springs, Lititz, and Lebanon for more than 50 years. He loved the work and touched many lives while serving customers, employees, and the community. At the age of 16, Norman earned his private pilot's license from Harrisburg Airport. He often shared his passion for flying by giving many children and adults their first plane ride from his backyard at Keller Brothers Airport in Buffalo Springs. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the International Flying Farmers and Experimental Aircraft Association. He was a selflearner and could repair and build almost anything. His commitment to peace and reconciliation were goals for his life. Attending Midway Church of the Brethren all his life, he ministered as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday school teacher, youth advisor, and served on the Atlantic Northeast District Men's Cabinet. He also served on the Board of Trustees at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, and Bethany Seminary, Elgin, Ill. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four children, Cindy Keller (Dale) Wittenberg of Lititz, Thom (Susan Klein) Keller of Newmanstown, Dan (Suzy Lynn) Keller of Rexmont, and Jane Keller of Lancaster; three brothers, Nathan E., husband of Myrl, Monroe E (late Ruth) Keller, and Titus E. (late Pearl) Keller, all of Buffalo Springs; a sister, Rachel E. Keller, wife of Dr. Carl Spease of Hummelstown; sister-in- law, Eileen (wife of late Mark, Jr.) Keller; three grandchildren, Benjamin (Lauren Raudenbush) Wittenberg of Lancaster, Danielle Keller and Caleb Keller of Rexmont; and Ted Klein, brother of Susan Klein Keller. Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Jr., and a grandson, Andrew Wittenberg. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Norman's Life Celebration Service at the Midway Church of the Brethren, 13 Evergreen Road, Lebanon, on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Ilyes and the Rev. Carl L. Brubaker officiating. A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Midway Church of the Brethren. Family and friends are invited to the cemetery burial service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Midway Church. Following the Life Celebration, a meal will be served in the church's Family Life Center. Clauser Funeral Home, Schaefferstown, is handling is handling the arrangements.
