M. shabodeho@aol.com October 31, 2009, 8:48 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 10/18/2009 Keyton, Harold Harold Keyton LEBANON Harold Keyton, 86, formerly of Hershey, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009, in the VA Medical Center, Lebanon. Born in Mission Home, Va., on October 18, 1922, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Alfreta Beddows Keyton. Harold retired after over 30 years of service for the former Reading Railroad. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served in World War II. Harold was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by three sons, Robert J. Keyton of New Cumberland, and Harold E. Keyton and Ronald L. Keyton, both of Harrisburg; and six grandsons, Robert, Stephen, Stanley, Randy, Ronald, and Jeremy. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by three sisters, Mamie Bruce, Edna Bruce, and Margaret Sullivan; and three brothers, Gilbert, Ernest, and Willis. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, 300 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown, with his pastor, the Rev. Paul H. Haken, and the Rev. Eugene B. Hockenberry, of Fairview Bethel Church of God, officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 W. Main St., Hummelstown, and Thursday at the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042; or to the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, P.O. Box 648, Hershey, PA 17033; or to the Fairview Bethel Church of God, 800 Old Forge Road, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
