  Joan M. Kiene, 74, of East Chestnut Street, Jonestown, died Saturday, January 
  31, 2009, in her home. Born September 28, 1934, in Lebanon, she was a daughter 
  of the late Joseph H. and Dorothy (Brown) Laudenslager. She had worked for 
  Landis Shoe Company, Palmyra, and the O'Yes Country Market, Ono, and was a 
  former member of Perseverance Fire Company, Jonestown. She was the widow of 
  Theodore J. Kiene, who died August 18, 2002, and was also preceded in death by 
  a son, Theodore John Kiene. Surviving are her children, Darleen, wife of 
  Clifford Irvin of Palmyra, Kathryn, wife of George Manbeck of Womelsdorf, John 
  T. Kiene of Georgia, Debra, wife of Neil Neidig of Palmyra, Dale Kiene, husband 
  of Carol Dove of Lebanon, and James Kiene of Jonestown; siblings Nancy, wife of 
  Brian Raihl of Annville, and Paul Laudenslager; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-
  grandchildren. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009, at 
  Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra, preceded by a viewing from 
  10 a.m. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, 
  PA 17042.
