  Kinney, Harlin Shroyer   
   
  Harlin Shroyer Kinney, 93, of 32 W. High Street, Annville, died Friday, January 
  23, 2009, in Cedar Haven Nursing Home, Lebanon. He was the husband of Veneta 
  Womer Kinney, with whom he celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this past 
  September. Born in Pillow, Pa., on August 22, 1915, he was the son of the late 
  Charles and Effie Shroyer Kinney. He was a retired general foreman from 
  Bethlehem Steel Corp., Annville; a graduate of Farmingdale High School, 
  Farmingdale, N.Y.; and a 1939 graduate of Lebanon Valley College. Harlin was a 
  member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Annville, the American 
  Chemical Society, a committee member of the Pennsylvania Dutch Council of the 
  Boy Scouts of America, and served on the Board of the Annville Township Water 
  and Sewer Authority. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jean 
  Kinney of Norwich, Vt.; two sisters, Ruth Muliken of Newport News, Va., and 
  Hazel Peiffer of Harrisburg; a brother, Robert Kinney of New York; two 
  grandchildren, Fritz and Greer; and four cousins, Fran Jean Bova, Ann Shemeta, 
  Lois Shroyer Smith, and Al Shroyer. He was preceded in death by a son, James P. 
  Kinney; and brothers Alvin, John, Charles, Frank, and William Kinney. Memorial 
  services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Zion Evangelical 
  Congregational Church, 710 S. White Oak Street, Annville, PA 17003. Inurnment 
  will be in Mt. Annville Cemetery. No viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, 
  contributions may be made to his church or the Annville Free Library, 216 E. 
  Main Street., Annville, PA 17003.
