Kline, 86, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Cedar Haven. Born in Myerstown, on June 9, 1923, he was the son of the late John and Bertha (Kiefer) Kline. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He had been employed at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, for many years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Midway Church of the Brethren, Lebanon, and was a lifetime member of the Ship 91 Navy Club, Lebanon, where he served as chaplain. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly, wife of Stanley Smith, Jr. of Richland; sons, Kenneth Kline of Richland, and Bruce, husband of Debbie Kline of Myerstown; grandchildren, Tonya McClellan, Michelle Arnold, Brittany Smith, Ashley Kline, Steven Kline, and Taylor Smith; eight greatgrandchildren; brothers, Leon, husband of AnnaMae Kline of Lebanon, and Earl, husband of Viola Kline of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Kline; daughter, Beverly Kline; brothers, John and Edward Kline; and sisters, Dorothy Strouphar and Bertha Duffy. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Thursday at 9 am. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
