She was the wife of the late Rev. Dr. Paul W. Koper, a Presbyterian minister and Christian educator, who preceded her in death in 1999, after 62 years of marriage. She was born July 15, 1915, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, a daughter of the late Miles F. and Eva Davis Egbers. She attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, and, thereafter, became a Presbyterian pastor's wife. She served in Christian education leadership for many years. She was an avid "mom" who participated in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, and many other organizations. She also volunteered for Abington Hospital and Visiting Nurses Association in her outreach to others. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Lebanon, where she was an ordained elder, and was also active in the Women's Fellowship and prayer groups. She had also worked as a legal secretary, and was an administrative assistant in the Presbytery of Philadelphia. She was a member of Chapter BM, PEO, She is survived by children Peter T. and wife Marie Koper of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Anne Koper Wagner, wife of Edward M. Wagner of Wyncote, Pennsylvania, Judith Koper Morris, wife of Charles F. Morris of Hanover, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David P. Koper; brother Howard M. Egbers; sister Martha Egbers Pederson. Memorial services will be Friday, January 9, 2009, at 11 a.m. in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 S. 12th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Friends may gather Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Memorial may be made to the Paul W. and Mildred E. Koper Scholarship Fund at Whitworth College, 300 W. Hawthorne Road, Spokane, WA 99251. Rohland Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
