  Leaman, Abram L. (Abe)   
   
  Abram (Abe) L. Leaman, 85 years, went to be with his Lord on January 14, 2009, 
  at ManorCare. He was formerly of 705 Charles St., Lebanon. He was born on June 
  29, 1923, in Lancaster, Pa., the son of Abram L. and Anna Ditzler Leaman. He 
  was the husband of the late Dorothy Baker, July 1981. He served in the U.S. 
  Navy. A graduate of Lebanon Valley College and Penn State. He taught chemistry 
  at Cornwall-Lebanon school system. A member of St. James Lutheran Church. A 
  member of the Lancaster and Lebanon Kiwanis clubs, where he was president and 
  the Keyman of the Year. A ham radio operator. He also enjoyed baseball, golf, 
  bowling and cards. He was a charter and life member of the Kanvas Kruisers. 
  Survived by a son, Gary L., husband of Velva Leaman of Lebanon; a daughter, 
  Judy A., wife of the Rev. James E. Heath of Lebanon; granddaughters Ann L. 
  Leaman, Garielle L. Leaman, Sheri E. Lynn, and Jessica A. Montellese; grandsons 
  Phillip E. and Daniel R. Heath; a great-grandson, Ethan Abram Montellese; a 
  brother, Kenneth, husband of Sharon Leaman of Lancaster. Relatives and friends 
  may call at St. James Lutheran Church, Second and Chestnut streets in Lebanon 
  on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. to noon. The service at the church at 12 p.m. 
  Burial will be in Covenant Ebenezer. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. 
  James Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association, Care & Cure Processing 
  Center, P.O. Box 7012, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8012. Arrangements by TaylorRuffner 
  Funeral Home Inc., 712 Chestnut St., Lebanon, Pa.
